“Aw... but I was kind because it made things easier in the end… wouldn’t you agree?”

Long before she mastered the sword, Roxelana Elsher — better known as ROX— learned a far more dangerous truth about her dhampiric nature: steel and silver are not the only things that leave a scar.To look at ROX was to see only warmth and immaculate polish. In a hidden world defined by shadows, blood and grime, she stood out by design. Always impeccably dressed, she treated her fashion sense as just another layer of armor while carefully curating her appearance to look as if she belonged anywhere but a battlefield. Bright, openly curious, and effortlessly generous with her smile, she possessed a rare, disarming gravity that made people feel genuinely seen and safe. Around her, suspicion simply melted away, dismantling heavily guarded walls without a single shot ever being fired — not that she ever liked weapons. Guns? They are far too heavy to incorporate into her looks. How does one even bedazzle a gun, anyway?Yet, this inviting exterior was a perfectly constructed weapon. Beneath the easy laughter, bright eyes, and a striking appearance, operated a mind constantly at work; mapping the human heart with the same cold precision others used for battlefields. Rather than stumbling into connections, ROX cultivated them by carefully collecting desires and memorizing weaknesses. To her, trust and admiration were merely ammunition — highly effective tools to be wielded and, the exact second they outlived their usefulness, cleanly abandoned. What else is there to do when they have served her their purpose?Tempered and trained by Blade himself, the woman now known as Roxelana Brooks-Elsher had elevated mimicry to an art form. Knowing exactly when to play the confidante and when to make herself indispensable, she found traditional violence boring—too simple, too predictable, and far too messy. Instead, she chased the high of persuasion. She thrived on pulling a target close and making them feel vulnerable, all while quietly holding the shears to cut them loose at her whim. To see their smiles drop the second the realization hits them felt far too satisfactory to miss.Because of this, when she finally eclipses Blade’s legacy, it will not be through brute force; she will rise surrounded by fiercely loyal allies, standing over enemies who died smiling at her, leaving the world to wonder if she was ever truly a creature of the light—or simply the dark’s beautiful disguise.“Hey, at least thank me. I felt generous enough to give you the easy way out.”

The architect of this terrifying influence, however, was born from absolute slaughter. After a devastating vampire attack wiped the entire Elsher bloodline from the map, ROX was left in the ruins with a single, brutal choice: die alongside her family, or let Blade teach her how to survive. She took her first breath in a room already claimed by death. Her mother had been marked long before labor began—a violent, deliberate bite that tore her skin open and pumped a damning venom into her blood, allowing something ancient to rewrite her from the inside out.ROX was then dragged into the world far too early in the fleeting seconds between her mother’s fading humanity and her looming monstrousness — and the transformation did not pause for mercy. It tore through the mother even as the daughter fought for her first gasp of air. What should have been a beginning fractured instead—splitting human and monster in the exact same breath. They lost her mother in the process... and ROX only knew the ghost story that comes after: that she was born in the narrow window between who her mother used to be, and what she ultimately became. The same darkness meant to consume them both had touched her, but stopped just short of finishing the job — so instead, it settled into her blood. She grew up carrying it, a creature never fully claimed by either side, but fiercely shaped by both. The rest was history… and she still chose survival. But while Blade gave her the steel to fight the monsters in the dark, ROX taught herself a far more lethal skill: how to become the monster hiding in the light.

Notes

A brief overview of how I run this account.

→ English and Korean only.
The only languages I will be interacting in.
→ Minors beware; account is rated (17+).
If you are a baby, please refrain from interacting. I may cuss or speak of topics inappropriate to your age. That said—Writer is already of legal age.
→ DM is not, and will NOT be my prioritized form of communication.
Just to set expectations so there's no confusion: I'm not great with constant one-on-one chats as my social battery runs out pretty quickly. Please do NOT take any delays personally; I just need time to recharge and I always make sure to reply within 24 hours (I am a firm believer of never responding to messages half-heartedly). If it happens to be urgent, please do mention me and I'll reply to you in a heartbeat (yes, I open my mention box more often than DMs). That being said: please only message me whenever you need me for anything. Please do not expect for a constantly ongoing conversation in DMs.
→ Descriptive Literacy.
I am no master in writing, but I do enjoy writing in length— for I am capable of laying down my feelings and thought process on certain situations while doing plots that way. Important: I will NOT expect my plotting partner to write just as long; so, please write down only what you think is necessary to keep the story going! But if you feel the need to write as long, please know I’ll always love and appreciate it.
→ Selective Following.
I am here for genuine connections, so please be reminded that I will be checking the timelines of people before I follow them back (to see whether they are actually interacting or not)! Based on past experiences, I have come across some who would only follow me to “crowd” their following before selling the account. If you decide to follow with every intention to stay on that account and be friends, please do mention me. No hard feelings, please!
→ Please mind the age of your muse.
Please understand that I do take age-gaps and age dynamics seriously. Meaning, if your muse is barely an adult and yet you are initiating any kinds of NSFW interactions, adult jokes, or anything in that nature with me, I will not partake in that. Please respect your young muse.
→ Late replies? No problem!
If we are in the middle of a plot, kindly be reminded that I won’t be holding your business against you, however, please do inform me if you are going to need some time in replying back. This is to avoid any misunderstanding or tension building up because silence can only do so much. I’ll make sure to do the same to you!
